Sawyer's Third Hanukkah

December 11, 2007 was the last night of Hanukkah this year and Sawyer went out in style. He loves to watch mom light the candles and even helps say the prayers (yes, in Hebrew!). Mom and Dad got him one big present, a keyboard, which he plays constantly. His Uncle Andy and family sent a microphone on a stand earlier in the week. Sawyer is able to hook up daddy's iPod to it and sing along with his favorite tunes. Lately, it has been all about Funky Mama.

Fashion Forward

I mean really, what more needs to be said about these photos? Sawyer's grandparents recently sent him some winter clothes and, included, was this tie. Sawyer's favorite thing to do is to play naked in our home but mom thought he needed a little something.

Sawyer's Big Boy Bed

Sawyer just got his first big boy bed! After mom put it together in the front room Sawyer dragged his animals and his water to it and layed down, just chillin'. After his first nap in it he woke up backwards and a little confused. He has been successful ever since.

Sawyer making pizza

So we finally decided to let Sawyer make dinner for us for once. Just like his father, he chose pizza! The hardest part was keeping Sawyer from eating everything before we actually cooked the pizza. He did very well and it tasted delicious! Next time, souffle.

Sawyer as "Funky Mama"

This is mom's first video post and I think it went quite well!! You can see a small portion of the video I took of Sawyer singing Funky Mama songs. Funky Mama is a children's song writer who performs in the KC area. I might get adventerous and try to post more of it but enjoy this for now.

Sawyer in the Sprinkler

Sawyer has been trying to play outside all week but mom and dad can't bear the temperature. So we compromised. It's not the first time he has played in the sprinkler but I think he had the most fun.

July 4th, 2007

I spent two days swimming with Lucas Kenney in Lexington, MO. Despite the rain, I had a great time splashing around with Daddy and watching fireworks. We watched Sesame Street and Jim Kenney made me eggs on the morning of my birthday. What a life!!

Sawyer and Friends

Mommy took these pictures after today's nap. Sawyer kept asking for his friends to join him in the crib and he ended up with 11! They had the best time playing.

Father's Day

Sawyer and family went to the zoo for Father's Day. He loves Vince, the sea lion, and he loves to watch Vince jump up to the red ball. After the show, Sawyer rode on the carousel with daddy. He finally decided on the tiger cub (way to go Sawyer!). It was satisfying for mommy to see that the KU horse was broken. So sad!! It was a wonderful day for our family.

Pirates!!! Oh No!!!

Sawyer had his first run in with Pirates and, as the first picture shows, he liked it none too much. The rest of the trip to Crown Center was fun and he had a blast. As you can see, he's also reading the weekly magazines we get. Well, more like he stares at them and then rips a few pages out, but he's trying. =)

See! Daddy kept his word and updated it within 6 months! Enjoy the pics of Sawyer's first shot at eating lasagna on his own.

I'm baaack...

Well, Daddy has finally reconfigured things to put up pics again. Here are the latest photos to get you caught up. We'd tell you what words Sawyer's saying now, but we can't even keep track of them! He has so many now. He's stringing together three and four word sentences all day long and he's saying his ABC's and counting to 13 at the moment.
